The Lincoln County Middle School boys’ basketball teams are guaranteed three trophies in the Salt River Conference Postseason Tournament.
Whether the trophies will be first-place or runner-up is yet to be determined, but the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade Eagles all assured themselves some hardware by advancing to the Salt River Conference championship games in their respective divisions.
Lincoln, which had the top-seeded team in each division, reached the championship game at the sixth-grade level with a 51-31 rout of West Jessamine, advanced to the seventh-grade final with a 62-25 romp over Anderson County and edged past Anderson 41-39 to make the eighth-grade final.
The sixth-grade Eagles are now 30-3 heading into the tournament finals, the seventh-grade team is 26-5 and the eighth-graders are 27-5.
The championship games of the tournament were all played Tuesday at Lincoln County Middle but results were unavailable at press time. The Lincoln sixth-graders faced Bondurant in the finals, the seventh-graders took on Boyle County and the eighth-graders played West Jessamine.
