Billy Joe Manuel, 81

Billy Joe Manuel, 81, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Hospice of Cincinnati.

Born in Crab Orchard, Ky., on April 29, 1936, Billy Joe was a son of the late Joe and Marjorie (Chandler) Manuel. He was a retired plant manager for Deerfield Industries and a member of the Lockland Baptist Church, The Scottish Rite, The Norwood Masonic Lodge # 576 and the Shriners Temple of Cincinnati. He was a longtime friend of Bill W. and an avid supporter of AA.

He was a devoted loving father of Debbie Fite of Batavia, Ohio and Clint (Tenia) Manuel of Florence. Billy Joe was also survived by his sisters, Ernestine Raptosh of Dayton, Ohio and Norma Jean Wallin of Miamisburg, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mandy and Ashley; two great grandchildren, Jenna and Landen; longtime devoted friend, Floriene Manuel of Williamsburg, Ohio; and numerous other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Billy Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Manuel; and a special nephew, Clark Manuel.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 9 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard. A Masonic service was held at 12:30 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial followed in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.
