Leda Mae Howard Hoskins, 95, of Stanford, died peacefully at her home on Monday, January 8, 2018.

She was born October 5, 1922, in Harlan County, Kentucky, to the late Gillis, Sr. and Mallie Cooper Howard. She was the widow of Homer Wilson Hoskins who preceded her in death on January 20, 2010. Leda was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Pat and husband, John Bratcher; three grandchildren, Michael and wife Tina, Christopher and wife Jamie, and William and wife Lanie Bratcher; five great-grandchildren, Ruby Ann, Ella Jo, Lila Mae, Eliza Louise and Gene Vincent; one brother, Frank and wife Cora Howard; and two sisters, Vida Mahan and Freda Parker

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Gillis Howard, Jr.; and one great-grandson, Timothy John Bratcher.

Pallbearers include Michael, Chris, William Bratcher, Ernie Howard, Jerry, Johnny, Keith Hoskins. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Howard, David and Kenny Owens

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel With Bro. Gordon Chaney and Bro. Ron Harp officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at McKnight Funeral Home.
