The Lincoln County Lady Patriots will be looking to defend their 45th District basketball title tonight (Thursday) as they take on Boyle County at 6 p.m. at Danville High School.

No. 17 Lincoln, the district’s top seed, comes into tonight’s championship game with a record of 22-6 while Boyle County, the two seed, comes in at 20-7.

The Lady Patriots swept the Lady Rebels in the regular season, rolling 80-48 in their first meeting on Jan. 26 and following with a 67-43 victory just five days later.

In the boys’ district championship game tonight, host Danville, the two seed, will take on top-seeded Boyle County at 7:45 p.m.

Danville has a record of 15-14 and Boyle is at 18-7.
