A 37-year-old man from Waynesburg whose disappearance on Aug. 2 prompted family, friends and authorities to spend several days searching for him has been found “alive and well,” Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said.
The Sheriff’s Office said that Justin Rogers, who has autism, was spotted by Lexington Metro Police around 4 a.m. Monday morning.
“He’s been located,” said Folger. “He was alive and well up in Lexington.”
According to Folger, Rogers had apparently been staying in a Lexington hotel since he left Waynesburg on foot.
“He said he wanted to get a job in Lexington and live up there,” Folger said.
