Janice L. (Baker) Hoskins, 74, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, at her home.

Janice was born in Stanford to the late Richard and Ruth (Stevens) Baker. She was the wife of Barney Hoskins whom she married on May 5, 1972. Janice was a lifetime member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She had worked as secretary for various County Judge Executives in both Lincoln and Garrard Counties.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Barney Hoskins; son, Jason Hoskins and his wife Sarah; grandson, Finnian Richard Lee Hoskins; sister, Joyce Baker; and nephew, Allen Bruce Deatherage and wife Rebecca.

Funeral services were, Sunday, Sept. 9, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Ralph Baker officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jason Hoskins, Danny Lewis, Bruce Deatherage, Ray, John and Gary Godbey. Honorary pallbearer was Paul Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Watts Chapel Baptist Church.
