“Men’s Day” will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Boneyville on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. Pastor Rhoda Raglin of the Simpson Chapel of Versailles will be the guest. Rev. Reginald Pullums is the pastor.
The Marie B. Shields-Stanford G. Redd Scholarship Institute will be held at Boneyville Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. Elder Robert Coulter, Jr., is the host pastor and Rev. Tommy Calhoun is the district moderator.
Rev. Barry Bowman along with the first lady of the Predestinarian Baptist Church, will be celebrating his 25th Pastoral Anniversary with a banquet on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. at the Family Life Center in Lancaster. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 a couple, $8 for children up to 12 years old. This is a “black tie” event.
Mr. James Edward Logan has been dismissed from Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Bishop Joseph Shea Brown, along with first lady Mrs. Marlena Brown, will be celebrating his 15th Pastoral Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. Rev. Moses Radford and congregation of First Baptist Church, Nicholasville will be the guests.
Revival will be held at Boneyville Baptist Church Wednesday through Friday, October 31, November 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. each evening. The evangelist will be Bishop Joseph Shea Brown, pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Boone’s Creek. Elder Robert Coulter, pastor.
Mrs. Shelly Mitchell of Florence spent the weekend with her cousins, Mrs. Sandra Hill, Mrs. Margaret Brown and Miss Trudy Gooch.
There will be a “Political Forum” for local candidates on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Stanford Baptist Church Christian Life Center. A catered barbecue dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with the forum beginning at 7 p.m. This is sponsored by the Stanford Lions Club. Mr. Eric Givens of Louisville visited his mother, Mrs. Sara Givens, his sister, Miss Dionne Givens, his aunt, Ms. Barthenia Brown, grandmother, Mrs. Louise Brown, and cousins, Mrs. Brenda Cofer and Mrs. Sheila Benjamin.
