Geneva Frances Weaver Hawkins, 97, of Crab Orchard, Ky., passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 10, 2019 at the Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford.
Born August 13, 1921, in Whitesville, Ind., Geneva was the daughter of Nathaniel and Lottie Rector Weaver. She was the widow of Delbert A. Hawkins, Sr. who preceded her in death on August 29, 2012. Geneva was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother and lifelong member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jestine and husband, Clarence Shelton and Christine and husband, Royce Killen; one son, Delbert, Jr. and wife, Clara Hawkins; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; one sister, Vernice Fain; and three sisters-in-law, Loretta Connors, Flonnie Hawkins and Libby Hawkins.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at Watts Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Dan Gutenson, Bro. Tony Shelton and Bro. Jeremy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 14) at McKnight Funeral Home and also after 11 a.m. on Friday until 1 p.m. funeral time at Watts Chapel Baptist Church.
Josh and Foster Shelton, Robbie Fletcher, Hunter Killen, Joseph, Jacob and Jeremy Johnson will serve as pallbearers.
