City of Stanford opens sealed bids on surplus property

Stanford Mayor Scottie Ernst opened a stack of sealed bids at Thursday’s council meeting on surplus property offered for sale by the city.
The City of Stanford accepted sealed bids on 12 items available. Eleven of the 12 items were awarded to the top bidder of each. The Council did not accept the bids on Unit # 26, a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, saying the bids were too low.
The list of the items sold and the top bidders follow:
Unit #9 – 1998 Ford Crown Victoria: Brett Witte, $210.
Unit #10 – 2006 Chevy Impala: Brett Witte, $210.
Unit #12 – 2008 Chevy Impala: Brett Witte, $210.
Unit #22 – 2004 Ford Crown Victoria: Brett Witte, $210.
Unit #28 – 2006 Ford Crown Victoria: Jeffrey Jenkins, $251.27.
Unit #25 – 2009 Ford Crown Victoria: Brett Witte, $210.
C/E – 2001 Ford Crown Victoria: Hannah and Craig Chaney, $352.
F/D – 2005 Chevrolet Colorado: Chris Reed, $250.
S/D – 2000 Chevrolet 3500: Travis Gilliam, $800.
