Seems we have had quite a few people who have passed away recently in or near Ottenheim who have kin here.
Sympathy to the Greer and Doss family, their sister Loretta Greer left this earth to be with our heavenly father. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
Just about everyone knew the kind and joyful man, Bud Wyler, who passed away last week.
Wilma Padgett who was from Ottenheim and a sister to the Stickler family, passed away a couple weeks ago. May her family recall many wonderful memories of her.
Wanda Kirkpatrick who passed away last week was the sister to the late Thelma Stempfly who lived here in Ottenheim. May that family be remembered in our thoughts.
Well, seems the rain and cold have found us again. Spring is here, the flower bushes are so pretty and yellow. Yellow must be the spring’s first color followed by green. But it sure is welcome! It sounds so good to hear the birds singing, the frogs croaking and just to see everything coming to life, just as if all are waking up.
The pavilion at the Ottenheim Lutheran Church building is coming right along. Ground was broken about two weeks ago when the weather opened up. The building is now ready to have the concrete flooring poured. There are also plans for another culvert to be put in the ditch for another entrance to the grounds. A big thank you to everyone who has given money to help pay for this building. Without your help this could not be possible.
Have a good week and let us not forget the homebound who cannot get out.
