The Baptist Unified Christian Leadership Conference workshop will be held Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Lebanon. The host pastor and also moderator is Rev. Tommy Calhoun.
Bethel A.M.E. Chuch, Boneyville will have its annual spring revival April 10-12 at 7 p.m. each evening. Elder Robert Coulter, Jr., pastor of Boneyville Baptist Church will be the evangelist.
Mr. Mark Thomas Gooch is a patient at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and also Mr. Harry Napier.
Mrs. Kim Miller has been moved to St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Mr. Julian Suter of Woodstock, Ga., is visiting with his mother, Mrs. Patricia Suter.
Mr. and Mrs. Oneith Fitzgerald have returned home after flying to Maryland to see their children, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Gooch and their granddaughter.
Ms. Barthenia Brown, Mrs. Sara Givens and Mrs. Louise Brown surprised Mr. Eugene Jones with a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jones. Mr. Eugene was delighted to see his friend as they talked about the good old days in Turnersville as they shared memories of his wife, the late Sara K. Jones. It was great seeing and listening to the 90 and 95 year olds talk and see how good each one of them looked. It’s good to have friends even in your 90’s.
Continue to pray for those that have lost loved ones and those that are in the nursing homes, hospitals and other confinements. We should never take life for granted.
Thought for the week: Just knowing that we are never alone as we go through life is reason enough for celebration and thanksgiving.
