Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. LeeAnna Cain, LPN, a nurse in the Cardiovascular Unit, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Lincoln County, LeeAnna has been caring for patients at EMRMC for just over six months.
She was nominated by a patient’s family member that said, “There is no one situation that exemplifies the merits of this young lady. Of your DAISY criteria, she excels in every category, every category. I have never met a caregiver as wonderful as she is in my 40 plus years of dealings with hospitals, nursing homes or any other medical facilities. She is a gem, a jewel of the highest quality. She should be training all others on patient relations.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout EMRMC, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital and Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital.
