Arnold Douglas McGuire, 64, of Copper Creek, passed away Thursday, September 6 at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Arnold was born in Berea on October 7, 1955 to the late Lewis and Flora (Baker) McGuire. He was the husband of Mary C. (Noel) McGuire. Arnold had worked in the masonry business laying brick and block for over 40 years. He was a member of the Valley Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Lou McGuire; brother, Ulysses “Less” McGuire; and a sister, Ona Creech (Roy) Shafer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary McGuire; son, Darwin Douglas and wife Pamela; siblings, Helen and husband Owen Noel, Annalene and husband Wayne Holman, Wilbur McGuire and wife Pauline, Kenneth McGuire and wife Juanita; grandchildren, Damon Douglas McGuire, Serenity Faith McGuire and Jayden Nicely; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, September 9 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the McGuire Family Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Darwin Douglas, Anthony Noel, John Saylor, and Kenny and Cole McGuire. Honorary pallbearer was Tanner Noel.
