Christine Rice Henderson, 92, of Stanford, KY passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Ft. Logan Hospital. Born on July 28, 1929 in Stanford to the late Thomas Hartwell and Allie Davis Rice. She was the widow to the late Amil Henderson. She was a member of Stanford Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Dana Henderson of Somerset, KY; four sisters, Louise Spears, Lucille Sudduth, Annette Stickler and Linda Denham, all of Stanford; four grandchildren, Katie Henderson, Brady Henderson, Tonja McGuire and Tina Watkins; and two great-grandchildren, Jemma Kocher and Emma Lynn Kocher; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amil Henderson; parents, Thomas and Allie Rice; one son, John Wayne McGuire; three brothers, Hartwell “Jack” Rice, Henry Carl Rice and Roger Rice; and two sisters, Laverne Law and Freda Stevens.
A one-day service has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Stanford Church of Christ in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Roy Hopkins and Bro. Daniel Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Brady Henderson, Stevie Rice, Tommy Sudduth, Pat Rice, Mike Messer and Steve Coleman.
