Deputies make early-morning drug arrest

Around 2 a.m. Friday morning, Lincoln County deputies conducting a highway safety checkpoint observed a suspicious vehicle.
Deputies made contact and found the driver was suspected of being under the influence. Deputies investigated and found several pills that were identified as controlled prescription substances such as suboxone, Xanax, and oxycodone, along with other paraphernalia that is consistent with drug use and/or trafficking.
As a result, a female was placed under arrest and lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
Deputies Dustin Price, Austin Coleman, Brandon McIntosh, and Sgt. Michael Mullins were all involved in working this case.
