Laura Jewell Hines, 94, of Stanford, KY passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation. Born on March 16, 1927 in Brodhead, KY to the late Fred and Lucy ToddTaylor. Laura loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also loved to cook for her family. She was a member of Stanford Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, William Billy Hines (Sylvia)of Stanford, KY; one daughter, Brenda Brown of Florida; one brother, Kenneth Taylor; one sister, Ina Todd of Stanford, KY; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Hines, parents, Fred and Lucy Taylor; three sons, Gary Wayne Hines, Everett Ray Hines and Darrell Lee Hines; two sisters, Ruby Taylor and Pauline Renner; five brothers, Carlos Taylor, Clarence Taylor, Charles Taylor, Everett Taylor and Johnny Taylor; two sons-in-law, Larry Brown and Jerry Brown; one grandchild, Everett Ray Hines, Jr.
Visitation has been scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2022 from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Roy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
Active Pallbearers are Steve Hines, William Brown, Jason Hines, Johnny Ray Hines, David Ryan and James Hunt.
