Lincoln County Library announces June events; summer reading program

The Lincoln County Public Library announced its schedule of events for June.
The summer reading program goes from June 4 to July 23. It kicks off with an “Ocean of Possibilities” event on Saturday, June 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be inflatables, food, music, games, and fun.
This year, the library is using Beanstack to sign up and keep track of challenges instead of keeping paper logs. To sign up, just download the Beanstack app, or from a computer go to lcplinfo.org. Click “summer reading.” Join the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge, and discover Oceans of Possibilities.

Children and Teens
June 1- Teen Anime Club at 4:30 p.m.
June 2- Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.
June 4- Summer Reading Kickoff at 5-7 p.m.
June 9- Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.
June 10- Treasures of the Sea at 2 p.m. (Learn about pearls and make pearl jewelry)
June 11- Dungeons and Dragons at 1 p.m.
June 13- Board Meeting
June 16- Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.
June 17- Give me a sign! at 2 p.m. (Learn about scuba diving sign language and use them in an obstacle course)
June 18- Lego Club at 10 a.m.
June 23- Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.
June 24- Ocean Life Terrariums at 2 p.m.
June 25- Family Storytime at 10 a.m. and Dungeons and Dragons at 1 p.m.
June 27- Teen Book Club at 4:30 p.m.
June 30- Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.
July 1- Ocean Day Celebration at 2 p.m.
Adult Programs
June 4- Summer Reading Kickoff at 5-7 p.m.
June 14- Cooking with Kids at 2 p.m. — This event will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays until June 30 (June 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30)
June 20- Adult Craft Personalized Tote Bag at 1 p.m.
June 23- Community Recycling Forum at 6 p.m.
June 27- Book Club at 1:30 p.m. (Book: Between Sisters by Kristin Hannah)
