Sabrina Wellman, FNP-C, has joined the staff at Ephraim McDowell Family & Internal Medicine and will begin seeing patients on August 29 with Dr. Mohammad Shahzad and Dr. Justin Lande. She will be providing primary care to patients of all ages.

Sabrina earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2013 and her master’s degree in nursing in 2016, both from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan.

Sabrina lives in Harrodsburg with her two daughters. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, drawing, listening to music and reading.

Home Health nurser receives DAISY Award

Ephraim McDowell Home Health recognized Donna Horton, R.N., BSN, for her extraordinary patient care. A resident of Boyle County, Donna has been caring for patients at EMHH for six years.

She was nominated by a patient who said, “Donna is so pleasant as well as professional. She genuinely cared about my health and progress every time she came to my home. She will be truly missed as her visits have ended.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
