Carl Bourne Goggin, Jr., of Stanford, KY passed away at home on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Born on March 24, 1956 in Danville, KY to the late Carl Goggin, Sr. and the late Virginia Lee Gooch Goggin.
Carl drove a truck for most of his life. He drove for Tommy Owen’s for many years and also, Ruck’s Trucks, and most recently, Seth Sullivan Farms. Carl’s love for life extended beyond the road. He was a huge fan of Nascar and never missed the Daytona 500. He also had a passion for watching UK sports. His life was a testament to the value of living simply, but his impact far exceeded that.
Survivors include five nieces and nephews, Dana Curlis Moore (Cebern), Brett Curlis (Lisa), Caty Curlis, Jamie Goggin Waddell (Adrian) and Jeremy Goggin (Nina); step-daughter, Ragan Rucker Knuckles (John); and a host of special friends in the Hubble community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Virginia Goggin; one daughter, Jenny Kathleen Goggin; one sister, Barbara Curlis Goggin; and one brother, Harry David Goggin.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service service will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
