Pair arrested in jewelry heist in Clinton County

Kentucky State Police (KSP) at the Columbia Post announced Sunday troopers from Post 15 located and recovered jewelry reportedly worth thousands of dollars that was reported stolen from a residence in Clinton County and made two arrests in the process.

According to the KSP, on Nov. 28, troopers launched an investigation of a theft of custom-made jewelry reported to have been stolen from a home in Albany. During the investigation, troopers learned the stolen jewelry had an estimated value of more than $16,000.

The following day their investigation led troopers to a residence on Cave Springs Road in Clinton County, where they were able to track down several of the jewelry items that had been reported stolen during the burglary. While at the Cave Springs Road residence, troopers obtained information which led them to arrest and charge Virginia Conner, 41, of Albany, with theft over $10,000. Troopers also arrested and charged Christopher Conner, 42, of Albany, with receiving stolen property over $10,000, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Both individuals were lodged in the Clinton County Detention Center.
