STEM Club Makes Its Debut
For the first time, Lincoln County 4-H will launch a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Club. The first meeting is scheduled for Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Extension Office. Participants will explore electricity and circuits through hands-on experiments. Organizers hope the club will spark creativity and innovation among youth.
Shooting Sports Program Returns
The 4-H Shooting Sports Club will kick off its season with an informational meeting on Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. The program includes archery and rifle training, emphasizing safety and skill development. Participants and their guardians are invited to attend to learn more about the opportunities available.
Cloverbuds and Creative Clovers
The Cloverbuds program, designed for children ages 5–8, continues to provide young learners with fun and engaging activities. Meetings are held monthly, offering crafts, reading, and snacks. Older youth, in grades 3 through 12, can join the Creative Clovers program, which focuses on skill-building projects and hands-on experiences.
4-H Summer Camp Announced
One of the program’s highlights is the annual 4-H Summer Camp, set for July 7–11, at JM Feltner 4-H Camp in London, Ky. Activities will include swimming, archery, outdoor games, and crafts. Camp organizers are also seeking volunteers to help ensure the event’s success. A planning meeting will be held on Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Richmond.
Focus on Community and Growth
The Lincoln County 4-H program remains committed to fostering community involvement and skill development. Programs such as livestock and poultry clubs, as well as the homeschool club, ensure that families with diverse interests have options to engage with 4-H.
