James Lamb, Jr., 86

James Lamb, Jr., 86, of Crab Orchard, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of the late Irene (Adams) Lamb who preceded him in death on January 18, 2019.

Born in Garrard County on June 2, 1932, James was a son of the late James and Ella (Portwood) Lamb. He loved to coon hunt and fish. He cared for and loved his family deeply. He was a farmer and former employee of H. E. Price in the pipeline construction industry.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn L. and husband, Bobby Collett; son, Donnie Nelson Lamb and wife, Wilma Jean; brothers, Roy Lamb and Curt Lamb and wife Tammy; granddaughter, Amber and husband, Shannon Saylor; grandson, Jim Bob Collett and wife Dena; two step grandchildren, Jeff Decker and wife Sharon, and Terry Price; five great grandchildren, Donald Jeffery and Timmy Decker, James Michael Saylor, Bentley Robert and Easton Wade Collett; and great great grandchildren, Connor, Wilhelmina, Nathan, Wyatt and Tahlia.

In addition to his wife, Irene and parents, James and Ella Portwood Lamb, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Lamb; and five sisters, Jonetta Irvin, Mildred Johnson, Edna Mae Shelton, Lilly Lamb and Alice Wren

Funeral services were Monday, March 18, 2019 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Bro. Billy Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dale, Jimmy, Ernie and Mark Lamb, Shannon and James Michael Saylor. Honorary pallbearers were Curt and Roy Lamb and Jim Bob Collett.
