Stanford Baptist Church welcomes Justin Carter as new pastor

Stanford Baptist Church is beginning 2019 under leadership, with a new pastor joining the fold.
Bro. Justin Carter, a native of Owensboro, has accepted the pastorship at the church, coming to Stanford after serving as pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in Citronelle, Ala. Carter is a graduate of Campbellsville University and the Trinity Theological Seminary.
He made the move to Stanford with his wife, Lindsay, and their two sons, Slaton and Cates. Slaton attends Lincoln County Middle School and Cates attends Stanford Elementary School.
Carter says his objective for ministry is “Love God, Love People, Serve Together.” He believes that ministry happens best in relationships, and he wants to see Stanford Baptist Church reach out into the community.
There is a Sunday School Class for every age group at Stanford Baptist Church. Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m. and worship is at 11 a.m. Bible Study groups meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Wednesday night Bible Study is at 7 p.m. Youth and children’s activities are available at every service.
Other staff members at Stanford Baptist Church include Stuart Underwood, Music Ministry; Ricky Lane, Youth Ministry; and Katie Phillips, Children’s Ministry.
