I received word from Delbert Dishon’s sister last week that Delbert Dishon died in November of 2019 and his wife, Ruby Joan (Cress) Dishon died in August of 2019. Ruby and Delbert were our classmates from the 1956 graduating class at Memorial High School. Our thoughts are with their families.
Richard (John) Clausen passed away in Louisville. He was a lifelong neighbor and friend here in Ottenheim and a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church. The Clausen family was well known, as his late mother, Margaret, taught school in the area for years. He will be greatly missed, as our prayers go out to his family. He is being buried in St. Sylvester Cemetery next to his mother and father.
Remember Robert Cornett in your prayers, as he is on the sick list. Robert lives in Indiana. He was raised here in Ottenheim and is a friend of many. Hope he is better soon.
Well, the weather has been very predictable lately. Snow, rain, cold, warm. Of course, it is winter so we can look for anything.
The geese were heard going over the other day. They must have gotten the season mixed up. It did sound so nice hearing them.
The person who is a success is one who has lived well, laughed often and loved much.
Have a good week!
