Resisting life’s situations leads to sadness, hopelessness and a sense that nothing has a purpose. Trust life and let it unfold as it will, knowing that a loving God is in control and knows what is best for us … Just saying.
On Saturday, February 22, the Bethel A.M.E. Church will be hosting a fundraising service with food, prizes and much more, along with guest speakers. There will be a $15 donation toward the purchase of plate lunches. Everyone is invited to attend. Reverend Reginald Pullums is the pastor.
February 23 has been set for a Black History Day at the Boneyville Baptist Church. A potluck meal will be served immediately after the morning worship service. The afternoon program will start at 3 p.m. There will also be a skit to enjoy. Mrs. Sandra Hill and Deacon Glenn Gooch are in charge. Elder Robert Coulter Jr. is the pastor.
The Simpson/Hayes Boneyville Days committee will be meeting at the Boneyville Baptist Church on February 22 at 10 a.m. to make plans for the reunion that is to be held on June 20, 2020.
Mrs. Sonia Napier Turner of North Carolina spent the week with her mother, Mrs. Janette Napier.
Mr. Dwight Hocker Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, visited the Hocker family over the weekend.
Hello to Mr. Eugene Jones. Family and friends want to know how you are doing. Mr. Jones is 95 years old.
