Rockcastle man dies in motorcycle crash

OTTENHEIM – A Rockcastle County man was pronounced dead by the Lincoln County Coroner early Sunday morning following a motorcycle accident on Ky. Hwy. 643.
Dana Ellison, 46, of Rockcastle County, was traveling eastbound on Ky. Hwy. 643 on a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle when he lost control of the bike and was ejected, according to Coroner Farris Marcum.
Marcum said a nearby neighbor was sitting on his front porch when he heard the crash and found Ellison in the ditch.
Ellison was pronounced dead at the scene at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Marcum said drugs or alcohol are a possibility and they cannot be ruled out until the toxicology results are returned.
