Warren Lee Burton, 93, of Waynesburg, KY passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born on April 10, 1928 in Detroit, MI to the late Clarence and Grace Wall Burton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion, Caswell Saufley Post #18. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a retired Vocational School Auto Tech Teacher.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Tillett Burton of Waynesburg, KY; four children, Vicky Lynn Phillipsof Waynesburg, Sheila Gribbins (Carlie) of Lebanon, KY, Lee Burton of Waynesburg and Kathy Murphy (Steve) of Harrodsburg, KY; six grandchildren, Chris Phillips (Vicki), Sarah Burton Burnley (Scott), David Burton, Jessie Gribbins, Michael Gribbins and Alyssa Murphy. four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Grace Burton; four brothers, Wiley Burton, Clayton Burton, Russell Burton and Dave Burton; and one sister, Marjorie Mason.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesburg, KY. The funeral service will be on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. David Conrades and Bro. Gary King officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Full Military Honors will be presented by Caswell Saufley Post #18.
