Verna B. Spears Ledford, 90, of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, peacefully as she was surrounded by her family, at her residence. Verna was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Mary (Blanton) and Joe Spears. She was the widow of Brack C. Ledford, Jr. who preceded her on August 27, 2014. She was a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ. Verna loved her family. She loved family reunions and having everyone come to her home. Verna truly enjoyed listening to the preaching of God’s Word and gospel music. Additionally she enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing and tending to her flower garden.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Ledford; a daughter, Brenda Cortez, a son-in-law, Greg Shelton, eight siblings, Gladys, George, Luther, Flossie, J.D., Dorothy, Henry, Luther, and Ella May.

9 Grandchildren, Shawn, Randall, Steven, Rodney, Dawn, Candace, Brian, Dustin, & Beth.

33 Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Austin, Tyler, Trinity, Jordan, Blake, Parker, Abby, Annabell, Peyton, Kinsley, Jonah, Colby, Antonio, Galvin, Mary, Faith, Nicolas, Ceasar, David, Jacob, Caden, Conner, Jace, Taylor, Riley, Bailey, Skyelar, Asher, Isaiah, Colton, Johnny, and Violet

4 Great Great Grandchildren: Carson, Mason, Braxton, and Zayden.

Place of Services: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel

Officiating Minister: Bro. Isaiah Super

Place of Burial will be Crab Orchard Cemetery

Public Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at McKnight Funeral Home.

Pallbearers Include: Randall Price, Rodney Price, Brian Murray, Jordan Murray, Dustin Price, Austin Price, and Tyler Price
