Christine Reid, 95, widow of George “Bud” Reid, Jr., died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Landmark Nursing Home, Lancaster, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Morris and Anna Bell Ross.
Christine was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Stanford, KY. She retired from Ft. Logan Hospital after 31 years. Christine, volunteered in the community of Stanford, a member of the Pansy Club, Volunteer Greeter at Ft. Logan Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Morris Ross, Jr., a sister, Mae France Gant, her father-in-law, George T. Reid Sr., mother-in-law, Virginia Reid, also aunt, Mary Reid.
She leaves two daughters, Judy (George, Jr.) Higgins and Wanda V. Reid; her sister, Anne C. Sleet; grandson, Dr. George (Kathy) Higgins, III; great grandchildren, Ian Vanover and Isabella Higgins; aunt, Virginia Bright Smith; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Funeral Service: Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 12 :00 Noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, Martin Luther King St. Stanford, KY. Visitation begins at 11:00 am Arrangements by Smith-Jackson Funeral Home.
