Mafrey Land Agee, 89

Mrs. Mafrey Land Agee, 89, widow of Mr. Roy C. Agee, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
Mrs. Agee was born on July 27, 1928, in Lee County, to the late Elmer and Gracie Madden Land. She was a retired grocer having been the owner and operator of Agee’s Foodmart in Crab Orchard. She served on the Crab Orchard City Council and was instrumental in helping establish the East End Ambulance Service in Crab Orchard. She was a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels and a member of the Watts Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Riley (Doug) and Janet Smith (Larry Owsley); one sister, Lois Rutherford; two grandchildren, Denise Harrison (Steven) and Terry Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Whitney Riddell and Steven Matthew Harrison; one great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Riddell; four step-grandchildren, Scott Riley, Brandy Anderson, Jimmy Riley and Shawn Riley; as well as a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas, Ellis, Bill, Lonnie and Dale Land.
Funeral services were Tuesday, August 15, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Rev. David Gambrel officiating. Burial followed in the Crab Orchard Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Active pallbearers were Steven Harrison, Matthew Harrison, James Rutherford, Billy Gabbard, Larry Owsley and Doug Riley.
