Ruby Reed Norris, 87, of Savannah, Ga., (formerly of McKinney, KY) passed away after a long illness on Monday, September 18, 2017. 

Born October 11, 1929, to the late Atlas and Grace Manning Reed, she was a homemaker and worked as a teacher’s aide for KY School for the Deaf for several years. She was one of three beautiful sisters, was a great cook, loved nature, and being outdoors. 

Survivors include one son, Jeff Norris (Tammy) of Salvisa; two daughters, Anne Norris of Savannah, Ga., and Nita Norris Adams of Lexington; one brother, Clint Reed (Brenda) of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Rosalea Boone of Lexington; three grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Robert Rader and Lara Brown (Bill); three great-grandchildren, London Brown, Atlas Brown and Titus Brown; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jewel Cooper. 

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 22, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel in Stanford. Burial followed in  Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
