Stanford businesses cut the ribbon

STANFORD – Two Stanford businesses cut the ribbon as community members gathered to welcome them to the city.

Ruff to Pawfect Pet Salon
A day of food, fun and of course, pets, was planned by Ruff to Pawfect Pet Salon owner Dillon Roberts who recently moved his pet grooming business from Crab Orchard to Stanford.
The salon, now located on Lancaster Street in Stanford, officially opened Sept. 12 but a small crowd gathered Saturday to walk through the newly renovated salon, check out classic cars and visit with local veterinarians offering $5 rabies vaccinations. The open house and ribbon cutting also featured an adoption event and wellness examinations for pets.

Katie Lou’s Photography
The pet salon wasn’t the only business welcomed to Stanford last week as Katie Lou’s Photography cut the red ribbon in celebration last Thursday.
The studio located right off Main Street is owned by professional photographer Katie Blanton. While Katie Lou’s Photography officially opened its doors in Stanford Sept. 8, Blanton has operated out of Waynesburg for nearly 16 years.
