Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Kasey McCowan, R.N., a nurse on the Medical/Surgical Unit, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Lincoln County, Kasey has been caring for patients at EMRMC for nearly15 years.
She was nominated by a patient’s spouse who said, “I don’t think you can find a more deserving candidate than Kasey. Kasey’s passion for nursing shines through in the care of her patients. My husband was admitted with a scary diagnosis and had an extended hospital stay. Kasey was a jokester when we needed a laugh, she was compassionate when we needed to cry and she was the encourager when we hit a rough spot. I will never forget the excellent care my husband received in the care of Kasey.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program honoring the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout EMRMC and Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital.
