The Lincoln County Lady Patriots’ and Patriots’ basketball teams now know who they face as they begin regional postseason play on the road and at home.
The Lady Patriots, the 45th District champions, will be the first of the two local teams to hit the hardwood, playing the second game on the second night of the girls’ regional first round Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Pulaski County High School. Lincoln (21-8) will play 46th District runner-up West Jessamine (21-9) at 7:45 p.m.
The Patriots, the 45th District boys’ champions and hosts for the boys’ tournament, will take their home floor on Wednesday, March 1, in the tourney’s opening game at 6 p.m. Lincoln (23-9) will take on 48th District runner-up Wayne County (16-16).
The 12th Region girls’ tournament preliminaries will be played Monday, Feb. 27, Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Friday, March 3 at Pulaski County, with the championship game set for 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
The boys’ tournament at LCHS will feature preliminary rounds Wednesday, March 1, Thursday, March 2, and Monday, March 6, with the championship game set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.
