Marjorie Boone Thompson, 93

Marjorie Boone Thompson, 93, of Hebron, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. Marjorie was a retired school teacher for the Boone County Schools. She spent most of her career in the Connor School District and had also taught in Ludlow Independent School District. She was a member of Bullittsville Christian Church, the Boone County Retired Teachers Association, the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and she was a Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy H. Thompson in 2003; and her parents, Charles D. and Iva Anderson Boone. 

Survivors include her daughter, Minda Thompson of Erlanger; son, Dwane (Debbie) Thompson of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren, Jared (Annie) Thompson, Wendy (Jeff) Hines, Mark Thompson and Sandy Thompson; and four great grandchildren, Bridger, Araya, Teagan and Edie. 

Visitation is tonight (Thursday, Nov. 9) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. 

Graveside services are Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
