Thanksgiving is just that – a time for giving thanks. One would think that those areas of our lives which are blessed, that we would give thanks daily. Tragically, we don’t. This is Thanksgiving Sunday; come, celebrate this happy occasion with us at 10:50 a.m. the Stanford Christian Church, 200 East Main Street (next to the courthouse).

Community Choir to present cantata

The Christmas cantata, “The Song Heard Round the World”, will be performed by the Community Choir on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Stanford Christian Church (next to the courthouse). There will be refreshments following the performance in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited to attend to get in the spirit of Christmas.

Philadelphia United Baptist Church

Philadelphia United Baptist Church, 834 Bryant Ridge Road, Brodhead, will have singing by Voice of Praise on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. There will be NO church services on Nov. 22, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The church visits the nursing home the first Sunday of the month and has singing every fourth Sunday of the month. Everyone is welcome. Celebrate Recovery
