STANFORD — The incumbent magistrate for District Four has filed to keep his seat.

Republican incumbent Joe Stanley filed for the District Four Magistrate seat this week at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office.

Stanley will face challenger Tim Adams, a Democrat, in the 2018 primary election in May.

The deadline to file for partisan races in 2018 is 4 p.m. Jan. 30. The primary election will be May 22.

Candidates for non-partisan races (city legislative bodies and mayors) have until Aug. 14 to file. The general election will be held Nov. 6.
