Soccer Pats edge Model 2-1; tie MadSouth

The Lincoln County soccer Patriots faced two Madison County teams on their home pitch this past week, edging visiting Richmond Model 2-1 Thursday then battling Madison Southern to a 1-1 tie on Saturday.
Trey Cummins and Josh Hatfield scored Lincoln’s two goals in the 2-1 win over Model.
Adam Lewis-Durham tied the game at 1-all only to have Hatfield boot in the game winner.
Lincoln improved to 11-4 with the win while Model fell to 6-6-1.
The soccer Pats took their first tie of the season on Saturday against Madison Southern.
Kole Linville scored for Southern and it seemed that the Eagles might escape with the win, however, Carter Story powered a shot in for Lincoln in the final minute to deadlock the game.
Madison Southern is 9-3-1 on the season.
