Health and Wellness Fair available for active and retired teachers

Lincoln County Retired Teachers are sponsoring a health and wellness fair for all active and retired teachers on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Lincoln County High School Auditorium from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Representatives from United Health Care and Anthem will be present to discuss health insurance issues for next year. UHC will present at 4:00 and Anthem at 4:30.
Other vendors planning to attend include RX Coalition, Express Scripts, Brown & Brown (vision and dental insurance), and AARP with the Safe Driver Program information. Local organizations such as Lincoln County Health Department, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Lincoln County Extension Office, Silver Sneakers, Ephraim McDowell Wellness Center, McDowell Place, Precision Chiropractics and Atomic Gym, Just Family Adult Day Care, Stanford Care and Rehab, Air Evac, Central Kentucky Diagnostic Center, Lifeline Home Health, Essential Oils and Yoga, and many others will be present.
Take advantage of this fair to get your flu shot. It will be available with your insurance card. Other services available will be blood pressure checks, A-Fib monitoring, biometric screening, dermascan, and other services. Free radon kits, smoking cessation information, and breast cancer detection information will also be available.
