Blake Smith’s 21 points leads Pats over Lions

Blake Smith scored a game-high 21 points as Lincoln County won 52-42 at Garrard County on Friday.
The win is Lincoln’s third in four games and solidifies the Patriots as the 2-seed in the 45th District tournament.
Garrard held an 11-9 lead after one quarter, but the Patriots poured in 17 second-quarter points to take a 26-20 lead into halftime. Six different Patriots scored in the second quarter.
The Patriots would grind out the rest of the game, scoring 13 points in the third and fourth quarters to solidify their win.
Garrard scored 11 points in each of the final two quarters.
Garrard’s Brayden Sebastian was limited to 15 points and had just five points at halftime.
Elijah Frye scored nine points, Riley Bodner had seven, Jaxon Smith scored six, Bryson Yaden five, Bryston Alcorn 2, Darius Napier 2 for Lincoln.
Brice Burkhard scored 12 after Sebastian for the Lions; Charles Jones scored six, Hudson Cornett five, Ethan Wall 3, Noah Allen 1.
