Hello and praise the Lord from the Stanford Church of the Nazarene. We are glad you have taken the time to read our article this week and hope you find some encouragement from it.

Question of the week: Do you hear God speaking or are you overwhelmed by the busyness of the world around you?

To find more answers, you can visit YouTube and watch this past Sunday’s services. This past Sunday morning we looked at the subject “Busy as Bees” taken from Mark 1. We honed in on the busy life of Jesus and how he found balance and peace in the chaos that surrounded him. Then on Sunday night we lifted our voices in song and praise as we enjoyed our monthly song and testimony night.

Some upcoming events include our community Good Friday Service on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall; the community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at the church; and our Easter services, featuring our Easter play on Sunday, April 21 at 11 a.m. Finally on Sunday morning, April 28, we will be visited by the Gideon’s International, hearing about God’s work around the globe. We will also be receiving a love offering for Gideon’s International.

Want to sing? Come join us on Sunday nights. The first Sunday night of every month is “Song and Testimony” night and every Sunday night is “open mic.” If the Lord has placed a song and/or testimony on your heart we would encourage you to come be with us and share.
