Lincoln County’s Trey Cummins was named a first-team all-state selection as the Kentucky High School Soccer Coaches Association’s (KHSSCA) all-state teams were announced this week.
Cummins, a senior at Lincoln County High School, is the first player in the history of LCHS soccer to receive this honor. He was named to the KHSSCA Second Team All-State as a junior.
Cummins, who was coached by his dad, Lewis Cummins, all four seasons at Lincoln, led the soccer Patriots in scoring his senior season, with 25 goals as the team finished 12-4-4. He is Lincoln’s all-time scoring leader and assist leader with 100 goals and 55 assists.
The Lincoln standout isn’t just first here at home. His 100 goals make him the all-time scoring leader for the entire 12th region and he holds the state record for most goals or assists in consecutive games with a goal or an assist in 40 straight games.
Cummins’ 55 career assists also places him second among the all-time assist leaders in the region.
