Dr. Kevin Pettit of Stanford Veterinary Hospital visited Highland Elementary Preschool recently to discuss his job with the preschoolers as part of their Pets Study curriculum.

The Highland preschoolers had embarked on a Pets Study in their classroom. In Pets Study, each preschooler signed an adoption agreement and was surprised with their Beanie Baby pet.  At home, the preschoolers marked on their schedules the different activities they did with their pets. 

At the end of the study, the children created carriers for their pets and had a Pet Parade in Mrs. Mullins’ and Mrs. McQueen’s kindergarten classrooms.
