DANVILLE — Diana King, A.P.R.N., has been recognized for her extraordinary patient care at Ephraim McDowell Walk-in & Primary Care with the DAISY Award.
King, a resident of Lincoln County, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. She has been caring for patients at Ephraim McDowell for nearly two years.
King was nominated by a patient, who said, “Diana was very compassionate and caring when I saw her recently. She was very thorough in her exam, giving her total attention to me and making sure to give me time for any and all questions I had. She walked me to the lab herself and assured me that we would get the results back before the end of the day. She personally called me to share the results of the lab work. The care and attention she provided made me feel like I was her only patient, and it conveyed to me a sense that she truly cares for each and every patient that she treats.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout EMRMC, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
