Dewey Tapp, 63, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away in Lexington, Kentucky, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He was born on Aug. 3, 1957, in Stanford, Kentucky, to the late Charles Tapp and Pauline Stringer Tapp. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Douglas Tapp (Patricia) of Lancaster, KY; one nephew, Michael Tapp (Stacy); and one niece, Melissa Tapp; and several cousins.
A one-day service has been scheduled for Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Johnny Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Kentucky.
Active Pallbearers are Jason Sheron, Michael Tapp, Jerry Phelps, Dickie Phelps, Stanley Stringer, and Troy Phelps.
