James C. “Potter” Reynolds passed away this month at the age of 87. A member of the Memorial High School’s First Graduating Class of ’52. After 4 years in college, and 3 years in the Army, he returned to Eubank High school as a teacher & assistant coach, and then on to Memorial HS to both teach, and Head Coach the “Mustangs” during the mid & late ’60s. Born in Eubank, to the late Russell & Dessie (Burke) Reynolds, raised on Old 27 just north of Waynesburg – growing up in his dad’s furniture shop located next to the house. Work opportunities moved him to Northern Kentucky in ’71, but his heart was always with the Mustangs and many, many friends of the area. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, one son Jerry Reynolds, four brothers & two sisters. He is survived by two sons, Joe (Rhonda) Reynolds & Jeffrey Reynolds; one brother Donald (Evanda) Reynolds of NKY, and 9 grandchildren.
