Mrs. Susan Marie Crissen Hopkins, age 56, wife of Mark, of Crab Orchard, KY passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at her residence. Susan was born October 30, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late John Richard Crissen, Sr., and the late Shelby Jean Gill Hodge. She and her husband, Mark, were owners of Brodhead Farm Mart. She was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of God. She enjoyed her church family, spending time with her family, crafts, farming, flowers, and gardening. Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 36 years: Mark Allen Hopkins; one daughter: Shana Lynn Hopkins of Crab Orchard, KY; three grandchildren: Gage Allen, Raelynn, Layne; one sister: Freda Lynn Parsons and husband Harvey of Somerset, KY; two brothers: Finley Crissen and wife Carol of Indianapolis, IN, Robert Blevins and wife Elizabeth of Louisville, KY; two sisters-in-law: Sherry Crissen, Terry Crissen; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: John Richard Crissen, Jr. Visitation for Susan will be Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 6-9 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 2 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Steven Vanhook officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Orchard Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jeff and Andy Reynolds, Harvey Parsons, Josh, James, and Johnathan Crissen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s honor to St. Jude’s.
