Bette Gayle Rogers Miracle, 74, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Danville, KY. She is the daughter of the late Bluford Wilson Rogers and Dollie Bracey Rogers Neel.
She is the wonderful & beloved wife to Max Miracle of 54 years, loving mama to Paige Isenberg, Heather (Brad) Petrey, and Ange Miracle. A compassionate nana to Makenzie & Dylan Isenberg and Kelby & Jason Petrey. Gayle was a loving person but above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Every morning we could find mama sitting in her spot at the kitchen table reading her Bible, which she read through at least once a year for the past 16 years.
Gayle had many skills: she was a medical lab tech for 40 years, starting her career at Fort Logan Hospital, working in several doctor offices, Garrard County Hospital until it closed then retiring from EMRMC. She was also an assistant at the Head Start Program in Monroe County Schools and taught preschool at First Baptist Church in Tompkinsville, Ky.
Gayle had a sense of humor like no other, cracking jokes and sharing her contagious laughter. Her hobbies included: online shopping, watching hallmark movies, she loved crocheting newborn babies’ hats for the local hospitals. She was a teacher at heart whether teaching the Bible to her Sunday school class or her girls & grandchildren how to cook or sew. She would do for others not expecting anything in return, and she always had a listening ear and caring heart. An adventurous spirit she was, which included being an excellent bowler, she won many trophies over the time she competed. Don’t get us started on how great of a golfer she was. She loved to travel and see the world. These are just a few of her talents that have been listed but the biggest quality of all was the love she had for her family & friends, an unconditional love that you could feel when she entered a room. We are sad that she has left this temporary world but we are assured she is walking the streets of gold and is more wonderful than she has ever been.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bluford Wilson Rogers and Dollie Bracey Rogers Neel; stepfather, Glen Neel, one sister, Eva Jean Ezell; son-in-law, Bryan Isenberg.
