Faye Carroll Harness, 80, of Stanford, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Born on May 6, 1942 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late James and Ida Hopkins Carroll. She was the widow to the late Lee Harness. She was a member of Danville First Church of God. Faye was the former President of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, former President of Women of the Church of God Organization and former Secretary of the Lincoln County Republican party. She enjoyed crocheting, singing and spending time with her family and church. Faye was also a seamstress, she loved to sew dresses.
Survivors include two sons, Reuben Lee Harness of Danville, KY and Jeffrey Carroll Harness of Crab Orchard, KY; one sister, Fernese Blevins of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Karina Baker (Ben), Griffin Harness (Kristian), Allie Harness and Austin Harness; eight great-grandchildren, Lily Baker, Elam Baker, Abby Baker, Adam Baker, Bradlee Henson, Skyler Quinn, Summer Quinn and Kayson Quinn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Harness; parents, James and Ida Carroll; two brothers, James Leon Carroll and Marvin Wayne Carroll; and two sisters, Jewell Mefford and Brenda Sue Owens.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Sister, Jessica Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Bradlee Henson, Skyler Quinn, Kayson Quinn, Austin Harness, Mason Cox and Luke Wilburn. Honorary Pallbearers are Lily Baker, Elam Baker, Abby Baker, Adam Baker and Summer Quinn.
