Ray Sims, 86, of Waynesburg, KY, passed away, Monday, March 20th at his home.
He was the husband of Rheba Elaine (Poe) Sims for 68 years. Ray was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on September 11, 1936, a son of the late Sarah Elizabeth (Meade) and Mack Sims. Ray was a charter member of the Waynesburg, KY area rescue squad, lifelong farmer, and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Two Daughters: Beth Hill , Jennifer Smith
Four Grandchildren: Jeremy Garrison, Rebecca Works, Dustin Smith, Taylor Smith
One Great Grandchild: Mason Crowe

Seven Sisters: Opal Dick, Ova Williams, Marie Barnett, Mattie Sims, Faye Wells, Bonnie Peace, Mary Lou Sanders
One Brother: Max Sims
The family of Ray Sims will receive friends for visitation with a pot-luck reception from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the Life Center behind the Family Worship Center located at 12130 US Hwy 27 South, Waynesburg, KY 40489. A Celebration of Life service will be directly after visitation at 7:00 PM.
